Session
Each session costs GBP £85 for 50 minutes.
All sessions are conducted online.
Will I see change on the first appointment?
The first appointment is not about quick change, but about beginning real change. In the first session you may not walk away with a solution, but you will usually feel a shift — you will start to understand why you feel the way you do, and why certain patterns keep repeating in your life.
In that first meeting, three important things happen:
-
You begin to speak freely about what is really going on beneath the surface
-
Unconscious patterns and emotional conflicts start to come into focus
-
A clear direction for the work begins to form
Real transformation takes time because it involves working with the unconscious and the deeper layers of your experience. Unlike surface-level advice or temporary coping strategies, psychoanalytic work creates long-term change that lasts. Many people describe the first session as a moment of clarity—finally being understood, finally speaking the truth, and finally starting a process that leads somewhere real.
What can I expect in my first session?
The first session is a conversation focused on understanding you — your inner world, your emotional life, and what brings you to therapy now. It is not an interrogation or a checklist but a space where you can speak freely, maybe for the first time without filters.
Here is what usually happens:
-
You share what you are struggling with — current concerns, emotional difficulties, or questions about yourself.
-
We explore your personal history — not just events, but how you experienced them and how they shaped you.
-
We begin to notice patterns — recurring thoughts, behaviours, relationship dynamics, and emotional responses.
-
You get a sense of how I work and what the psychoanalytic process will look like for you.
-
Together we decide on the direction of the work — what needs attention, what is being avoided, and where meaning begins to emerge.
There is no pressure to say everything at once. You can speak at your own pace. The first session begins a process of uncovering — not just what is happening in your life but why it is happening. This is the first step toward real psychological change, guided by honesty, insight, and inner discovery.
How do I know if the Jungian psychoanalysis is working?
You know Jungian psychoanalysis is working not by quick fixes, but by the gradual changes that begin to appear in the way you think, feel, and respond to life. Progress in depth work often begins quietly, then becomes unmistakable over time. You start noticing that you are no longer trapped in the same automatic reactions or emotional cycles.
Signs it is working include:
-
You begin to understand the deeper reasons behind your feelings and behaviour instead of feeling confused by them.
-
You become more aware of your unconscious patterns—why the same situations keep repeating in relationships, work, or self-esteem.
-
You gain emotional clarity; feelings that were once overwhelming or chaotic begin to make sense.
-
You feel more grounded and less controlled by anxiety, fear, or past wounds.
-
You start making decisions that align with who you truly are, not who you were conditioned to be.
-
You develop an inner authority—a sense of trust in yourself and your direction in life.
-
You feel more alive, more real, and more connected to meaning and purpose.
-
Your dreams, insights, and inner world become richer and more coherent.
Sometimes, progress first appears as discomfort — becoming aware of unconscious truths can feel confronting at the beginning. This is part of the process. Real transformation does not come from avoiding pain, but from understanding its meaning and moving beyond it. Over time, you will notice not only change — but depth, strength, and a growing sense of psychological wholeness.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on the depth of work you want to do. Jungian psychoanalysis is not a short-term technique but a process of genuine psychological transformation. Some people come with a specific issue and work for a few months, while others choose to work more deeply and continue for a year or longer.
The length of the work depends on:
* How long the issue has been present
* The level of emotional complexity and unconscious conflict
* Your commitment to the process
* The depth of change you want to achieve
You can expect to begin noticing insight and internal shifts within the first weeks, but real transformation develops over time.
Psychoanalysis is an investment in your inner life and in creating lasting change rather than temporary relief. The process unfolds at your pace, and the duration is shaped by your personal goals and the truth you want to discover about yourself.
Can I get a refund if I need to cancel?
Sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled with notice, but refunds are not offered for late cancellations or missed appointments. This is because the session time is reserved specifically for you.
My cancellation policy is simple:
-
If you cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice, you can reschedule your session at no cost.
-
If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or do not attend the session, the full fee is charged.

Refunds are not available once a session is booked, but you are welcome to reschedule within the cancellation window.
This policy supports the commitment to the analytic process and ensures that the therapeutic time is respected.
